Description: body made from a hollowed wooden trunk; two bottoms – one made of skin (tensioned with a metal hoop) with a tassel of horse hair attached in the middle, the other made of wood with a chain threaded through a metal ring attached in the bottom’s center; the use of two membranes (leather and wooden), casued to vibrate with the use of the horsehair tassel and the metal chain respectively, is the maker's modification

Performance practice: when the hair is rubbed with wet hands or a glove covered with rosin it produces a low sound; a music tool used to make ritual uproar; nowadays used in folk bands in Kaszuby (Cassubia), and a symbol of the region's musical identity
